Bathing fun in Ellmau

Ellmauer Kaiserbad
The Ellmauer Kaiserbad is known far and wide for its many attractions and its family friendliness. An imperial water landscape with indoor adventure pool and current channel out into the outdoor pool, plus its own bio-pool. Outside, a wonderful water playground awaits children especially, with water cannons and a water mushroom, a summer and winter slide, providing non-stop swimming.

Hintersteiner Lake

Located on the Wilder Kaiser, the Hintersteiner Lake is worth a visit in itself.But the Hintersteiner Lake offers a lot more for holiday makers. With an area of almost 48 hectares and up to 36 m deep, the Hintersteiner Lake is one of the larger bathing lakes in Tyrol. But it isn’t just the size of the lake that’s inviting. Its unique location on the Wilder Kaiser offers the visitor a true feast for the eyes as well. For the bather there is a private beach with ample sunbathing areas.

Underground springs feed the lake with fresh water and let it shine in all colours. As well as the refreshing bathing experience, the crystal clear waters guarantees visibility for up to 10 metres. As well as swimming, the Hintersteiner Lake is also the ideal starting point for numerous walks in the Wilder Kaiser nature reserve.
